『 My Images of Yoshio Nakajima 2 』
LOVE IS ALL
Like the Sun on the long journey
On March 8th to 14th, the 8th edition of the exhibition was held with the "My Image of Yoshio Nakajima 2" by Sakae Okatomi who is an active photographer and the exclusive photographer of Yoshio Nakajima.
The exhibition was the first one after the gallery has been remodeled. We were worry that people will not come due to this corona pandemic, but despite the concern, many people came to the exhibition! Thank you!
How Mr. Okatomi has trimmed Mr. Nakajima's moment is filled with his powerfulness and kindness and really can feel the strong connection between the photographer and the model.
Looking through the photographs, I sense that Mr. Nakajima's painting theme of "SUN" is not just the theme of the paintings but also himself.
As you might think what is going on in the photo on top?? One of the spices that makes this whole exhibition more interesting is the performance by Mr. Nakajima.
If you ever find their collaborated exhibition, I strongly recommend going a couple of times. No matter how many times you visit their exhibition, you can always find something new. Every performance is different and be in part of the performance really changes the perspective of photographs.
The photo that shows on the top was taken after the audience was involved in the performance. Even everyone is wearing the mask somehow the photo gives the feeling that everyone has a big smile behind the mask.
I also find the irony of wearing masks during this pandemic period though.
